Last night we had a gala dinner and the food was excellent. Really excellent. In true American style there was surf and turf which was preceded by some sashimi - so very few carb there. we then talk a walk to another location where there was desert and the main party began. All in all a great evening. My sleep patterns have adjusted to the 12 hour difference between here and the UK. It has been much easier than I thought. Normally when I go to somewhere like Seattle which is 8 or 9 hours different I find it quite difficult to adjust, my sleep and eating are out of kilter. Perhaps is not so much that things are so neatly half a day out or maybe because I was working all hours before I left and therefore had already disturbed my body's rhythm. In the room there were a number of goodies, nuts, crisps, biscuits. I gave the biscuits away the rest of the stuff I think I shall give away when I get to Florida. The trick is to keep it out of sight and therefore out of mouth. In all honesty though, without wanting to tempt fate, this is getting a bit easier. I don't have scales with me and hope that my regime will pay off with more weight loss by the time I get back to the UK.
Today's agenda.. read a book or two and spend some time snokelling in the Hawaiian sea.
